How to prepare each document correctly
The signed acceptance and offer letter is the first document you will
receive after choosing a college. Read it fully, confirm the course and fee, then sign
it and keep a scanned copy. Your passport should be valid for more
than two years, so check the expiry date before you apply. If it is close to expiring,
renew it first, because a short validity can delay everything else.
Your Aadhaar card can be shared as a clear, properly scanned file.
Take four passport-size photographs on a plain white background.
Bring your original academic marksheets from Class 10 or above, as
these are required in original form. Apply for the
police clearance certificate (PCC) early, since it depends on the
local police and passport office timelines.
For finances, you need an original bank balance certificate together
with a bank statement showing a balance of 5 lakh. Funds that are one day old are
accepted, but the balance must be genuine and clearly visible. Ask your bank for a
stamped certificate on its letterhead.
Medical tests: plan one visit
The medical certificate covers HIV, Hepatitis B and C, chest X-ray, VDRL or TPHA,
filariasis, fasting blood sugar, blood urea, full blood count and leprosy tests. Book
one diagnostic centre that can complete everything together, and remember that fasting
is needed for the blood sugar test. Reports must be stamped and signed by an MBBS or
MD doctor, or they may be rejected.
Admission and visa process, step by step
The route from enquiry to arrival is straightforward when you prepare early.
